Our COVID-19 Rapid Tests

There are two means of testing for the coronavirus. One is with a COVID-19 molecular test, also known as the RT-PCR test. This test is a nasal swab that offers results within 3-5 days. And while the RT-PCR test is very reliable, it doesn’t produce quick results, which can cause disruption in your daily life waiting for the result to be known.

Instead, the more popular convenient test is the rapid COVID-19 antigen test, which is also a swab-based test. This test is effective in producing results in as little as 1 to 2 hours, and is the most common and used test for detecting coronavirus.  And with a 96% rate of correlation with the molecular RT-PCR test, it’s almost just as accurate.

How Much Does It Cost

If you have insurance, that will cover not only the patient who is suspected of having the coronavirus, but also those that may have been exposed as well as those under observation. With screening through private insurance, some services may be subject to copays, coinsurances, or deductibles.

For non-insured patients the cost of Covid-19 testing is $160.00. Should you require a full visit it will be converted into our Self-pay ranging from $160 – $400.

Safety First

The safety of our patients is our main priority, so we work hard to ensure that all measures have been taken to ensure the best experience for all of our patients.  Because of this, we only allow one parent to accompany their child in the clinic, to help minimize potential exposure to other people.

Anyone over the age of 2, is asked to wear a mask while visiting the clinic, to help protect the safety of other patients and staff at the clinic.  And while our staff wear personal protective equipment during the evaluations and testing of our patients, we also sanitize our examination rooms and equipment for each visit.
