What is the difference between an urgent care walk-in clinic and an ER?
Just like your local emergency room, an urgent care center is fully staffed with doctors, pediatricians, physician assistants and more. The majority of urgent care locations will also have an on-site X-ray machine and other equipment that can handle more severe urgent care services such as broken bones, cuts, lacerations, burns, sprains, strains and other non-emergency conditions and illnesses.
Urgent care centers are very often used to bridge the gap between primary care doctors and emergency rooms. Urgent care clinics also alleviate the strain and congestion in an emergency room and also assist with shortening their long wait times. On average, a patient will wait roughly 15 minutes or less at an urgent care center and can typically expect a $35-$55 insurance copay for their visit (this highly depends on the patients’ insurance policy). For the patients who happen to be uninsured, the costs may accrue to be as high as $125-$150 per visit. At the majority of urgent care centers, they will require payment (or at least a copay) due at the time of visit.
The majority of emergency rooms are open 24 hours a day and they specialize in the treatment of life-threatening conditions and injuries. These injuries and illnesses will typically require more advanced technology and highly-trained medical professionals and surgeons in order to be able to diagnose treat effectively. Because it is against the law for emergency rooms to deny treatment and medical services to patients who cannot pay, often causes their wait times to be several hours long and the average cost to be much larger than an urgent care center.
Does Night Lite Pediatrics accept insurance?

We accept all major insurance plans and we also offer self-pay discount options to those patients who happen to be uninsured.
