How long does my child have to wait to be seen at Night Lite Pediatrics Urgent Care?
At all Night Lite Pediatrics Urgent Care locations, we do not typically make patient appointments. We will usually see our patients on a first come first serve walk-in basis. We are fully equipped to treat urgent and non-life-threatening medical needs.
We ensure to fully staff our urgent care centers so that way we are always able to try and minimize the waiting time for all of our patients. However, we may see longer waiting times occur on or around specific holidays, during the flu season, and during other peak times. But our medical staff always works to try to maintain a waiting time of no longer than 15 minutes per patient.
What is an urgent care walk-in clinic?
Urgent care walk-in clinics work very diligently and hard to bridge the gap between their patients’ primary care doctor or physician and the hospital emergency room. There are typically no appointments that are necessary in order to visit an urgent care or walk-in clinic. In order for Night Lite Pediatrics to be able to treat patients when needed, all clinics are typically open seven days a week and are open for extended hours, usually until 9 p.m. or later. Urgent care centers and walk-in clinics are typically staffed and led by family care doctors and emergency room physicians, because of this – they can replicate nearly all the services that are offered in a regular doctor’s office or local emergency room.
What type of services and treatments are offered at urgent care walk-in clinics?
Urgent care centers will typically have X-ray machines, laboratory testing services and should also have most of the equipment that is needed for treating medical conditions. Some of these medical conditions can range from very simple things like annual flu shots or blood-sugar testing, to more sophisticated and complicated treatments like the casting of broken bones. Some of the common ailments that we treat include:
- Treatment for cold and flu related symptoms
- Ear, nose and throat infections
- Treatment for minor broken bones and fractures
- Treatment for cuts and lacerations
- Treatment for sprains and strains
- Dehydration that is due to diarrhea and vomiting
- Treatment for pediatric diabetes
- Pediatric cystic fibrosis
- Pediatric Crohn’s disease and colitis
Will my healthcare insurance be accepted at Night Lite Pediatrics?
Nearly all of our treatments and services are covered by insurance. However, every insurance is different and therefore, we encourage all of our patients to follow up with their insurance provider to see if they will cover any accrued pediatric urgent care costs. Typically, most of our patients will have to pay their deductible or their co-pay at the time of visit in order to receive treatment. Night Lite Pediatrics work with a variety of different insurance providers, see a list of insurances that we are currently “in-network” with. If you don’t see your provider listed – be sure to give us a call so we can help you find out if your visit will be covered. If you would like to find out ahead of time – we encourage you to contact your insurance provider as ask what treatments and services are covered. If you happen to be uninsured – no problem, Night Lite Pediatrics offers discounted self-pay rates for those who happen to be uninsured.
